HEAVY-DUTY TRUCK TRACTORS FROM KURGAN |

| | | |||
or
over 35 years, the Rusich-KZKT (Kurgan-based Karbyshev Tractor Truck Plant)
open joint stock company has been Russia's leading manufacturer of heavy-duty
transport vehicles. Rusich-KZKT tractor trucks are in service with the
Russian Armed Forces and with the Armies of many countries worldwide where
they are used to tow heavy-duty trailer trains designed to transport large-size
heavy cargoes, armored vehicles, and various weapon systems.
As the mobility requirements for armament and weapon systems have been rapidly growing, Rusich-KZKT has launched production of a new family of 8x8 tractor trucks. The KZKT-7428 basic tractor truck and its versions are capable of towing trailers with a maximum weight of 70 tons transporting armored vehicles and semitrailers accommodating ground support equipment of various missile systems. Depending on the version, vehicles are equipped with a 15 tf winch (or a 30 tf winch, if a pulley block is used), independent engine power take-off and other systems. The KZKT-74282 ballast truck tractor is used to transport trailers with a maximum weight of 75 tons and aircraft weighing up to 200 tons (at airfields). The KZKT-7428-family vehicles are powered by a 478 kW (650 hp) YaMZ-840.1014 diesel engine fitted with a gas-turbine supercharger, which enables them to accelerate to a speed of 65 km/h and overcome gradients whose steepness is up to 14o. At customer's request, the vehicle can be equipped with Cummins KTTA19-C650 engine. A two-row six-seat all-metal cabin can accomodate a four-men crew or equipment being carried. The cabin features a highly-effective noise and heat insulation, filtering/ventilation unit, and other crew life-support systems. The gear box produced by Rusich-KZKT, independent forward wheel suspension, all-wheel drive and large-diameter tires provide the KZKT vehicles with high traction power, cross-country capacity and stability at maximum speeds. The reliable power-assisted steering system and pneumohydraulically driven brakes improve the vehicle's ergonomic parameters and ensure safety. Rusich-KZKT is assimilating production of the MTP-A4 recovery vehicle (derived from the KZKT-7428 truck tractor) which will enter service with the Armed Forces to provide repair services, transport spare parts, tow and recover stuck and overturned vehicles. Currently, Rusich-KZKT is ready to supply customers with either truck tractors only or with complete heavy-duty trailer trains launched into production a few years ago. A trailer train includes an 8x8 configuration prime mover and various semi-trailers with a cargo carrying capacity of 45 to 65 tons and cargo platform length of 8 to 14.5 m. On the basis of the KZKT family tractor trucks, which have a high degree of commonality in major components, the company has developed and launched production of the KZKT-8003 6x6 cross-country chassis with a 13 t load carrying capacity, KZKT-8005 8x8 chassis with a 27 t load carrying capacity, and KZKT-8014 10x8 chassis with a maximum load capacity of up to 40 t to be used as heavy equipment platforms at oil and gas fields. Work is underway to adapt these chassis to various weapon systems. They can be powered by Russian-made 312.5 kW (470 hp) TMZ-8424.1015 diesel engines or 349 kW (475 hp) Cummins N14-C475 engines. Rusich-KZKT JSC welcomes cooperation from all sides. The company is
ready to sell its products, broaden their missions and capabilities, and
develop new designs to customers' specifications. |
